Protecting Shopify Store Owners from Data Loss
Woonic is a specialized Shopify application built to deliver reliable, enterprise-grade cloud backups, granular 1-click recovery, and visual theme version control at predictable, flat-rate pricing.
The Founder Story
Woonic was created by a dedicated team of e-commerce cloud architects and Shopify developers who experienced firsthand the devastating reality of store data loss. After watching multiple direct-to-consumer brands suffer five-figure revenue hits from rogue third-party app uninstalls, broken Liquid snippets, and accidental bulk CSV overwrites, we set out to build a modern, zero-compromise disaster recovery solution.
Most merchants believe Shopify maintains individual store undo histories. Discovering that Shopify operates under a shared responsibility model—leaving data protection entirely to the merchant—is often a painful, costly awakening. We built Woonic to make sure no Shopify brand ever has to rebuild a product catalog or reconstruct broken theme code from memory again.
Our Guiding Principles
1. Predictable Utility Pricing (No Growth Taxes)
We believe security software should never penalize a business for growing. Charging 10x higher rates just because a store sells more units is unfair. Woonic provides transparent catalog-tier pricing with zero order-volume penalties.
2. Granular Control Over Total Overwrite
If you break one Liquid snippet or delete one product, you shouldn't have to rollback your entire store's live orders to fix it. Woonic gives you granular 1-click item-level restoration.
3. Zero-Trust Security & Privacy by Design
Store backups are encrypted with AES-256 at rest in AWS S3 and transmitted over TLS 1.3. We use scoped, short-lived OAuth tokens and never store customer payment card details or long-lived admin credentials.
